Innovation is the future
Boot Düsseldorf is a global meeting point for industry leaders to introduce innovations. You must visit at least these three innovations in yachting.
Saxdor Yachts’ Fathom® E-Power System
Saxdor Yachts, in collaboration with Navico Group, is introducing the Fathom® e-power system on their Saxdor 400 GTC model. This integrated lithium-ion auxiliary power management solution allows the Mercury V10-400 engines to operate as generators, producing up to 12 kW of power. This configuration ensures efficient battery recharging and reduces reliance on traditional generators, thus minimising noise, vibration, and emissions.
Grand Soleil Yachts’ GS Blue
Grand Soleil Yachts is introducing the GS Blue, a 10-meter eco-friendly sailing yacht constructed using thermoplastic resin, which enables full recyclability at the end of its lifecycle. The yacht features a 6 kW electric motor with direct Pod Drive transmission, an 8 kW lithium battery bank, and integrated solar panels that provide approximately 340 W of power. This design ensures zero-emission navigation and a sustainable sailing experience.
Rossinavi’s AI-Integrated Superyacht Concept ‘Solsea’
Italian shipyard Rossinavi has unveiled the ‘Solsea’ concept, a 43-metre catamaran equipped with artificial intelligence designed to anticipate guests’ needs. The AI system enhances guest experiences while contributing to environmental efficiency through hybrid-electric power and solar panels. Amenities include a watersports platform, a lounge pool, an ocean-view owner’s cabin, and a top-deck bar.
Sustainability and Marine Conservation
In Hall 10, you can find all sustainable technologies and environmental initiatives in water sports. Finsulate’s founder Rik Breur, will be in the Blue Innovation Dock on January 23, 2025, at 14:15 to discuss “Innovation in antifouling technology”. If you want to start making waves with your contribution to sustainability, talk to Rik Breur (founder) and Willem Duijf (managing director) to empower your yachting or commercial fleet with Finsulate, the revolutionary eco-friendly antifouling solution with an 8-year warranty.
There’s more innovation and love in Hall 10 you have to see. boot Düsseldorf has promoted water and marine conservation as a top priority. The 2017 initiative, “Love Your Ocean,” gained widespread media attention as it partnered with various organisations and famous individuals, such as Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The German Ocean Foundation’s “Love Your Ocean” initiative is working with over 75 partners to demonstrate how the ocean and climate can be protected. The action stand in Hall 11 also invites children to participate. boot Director Petros Michelidakis: “People are awakened by “love your ocean”. It presents the possibilities that industry, science and society already have today to protect the ocean and the climate. I am very proud that boot is one of the pioneers in this field and offers the topic a broad platform.” Companies and projects that have water and climate protection as their goal are grouped around the “love your ocean” stand.
The Ocean Tribute Award 2025 is all about Celebrating Marine Conservation Excellence. Since 2018, the Award has honoured numerous international projects, each contributing unique solutions to marine conservation. The recent 2024 winner was the ECOP AFRICA network.
The award’s values are reflected in the work of ECOP AFRICA, which is dedicated to sustainable aquaculture and carbon removal in various African countries. Through its programs, such as real-time monitoring, the organisation has been able to help reduce illegal fishing.
